The following page features samples that I wrote in previous roles. It also features sample rewrites of existing documentation from tech companies.
Most of the work I've created since 2016 has been proprietary - with a contract required to obtain access to a Help Center or class registration. In my current role, all work is confidential. As a result, I'm sharing highlights from these roles:
At Pacific Defense, I work with software developers, product marketing, and product managers to write and maintain high-quality documentation that explains electromagnetic spectrum technology solutions to the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and their industry partners.
I plan, write, edit, and revise technical information and documents, such as user manuals, presentations, and configuration/installation instructions. I also edit contract responses for RFPs.
NOTE: My job was eliminated due to a reduction in force (RIF) layoff.
At Highspot, I created, edited, tested, and published a "Getting Started with Analytics" area in our company's Help Center. All of this content was created in Zendesk. This content helped to onboard new users and aid existing users in understanding how the Analytics portion (of our sales enablement platform) worked, which included articles on the UI, report filters, reports and scorecards usage, and mechanics. In addition, I used Zendesk to generate and share reports that captured data on article usage.
At Adobe, I provided technical and developmental editing for 17+ curriculum developers in three countries (United States, India, and Canada) for Marketing & Analytics course materials. I obtained advanced knowledge in Adobe Analytics, Adobe Campaign (Classic and Standard), Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe Target. I learned how to use 3rd-party tools, such as Git, MongoDB, and Apache, for application configuration and used virtual machines to test course materials and simulate the instructional environment.
I created a Wiki for the curriculum developers (I supported) that addressed topics such as creating a Tech Pubs editing request in Jira or using SharePoint for source control.
I also worked with a Senior Curriculum Developer to revamp the entire suite of course materials for Adobe Experience Manager, resulting in 0 issues for all course materials in the classroom. Finally, I worked with another Senior Technical Editor to combine two Style Guides into an online, searchable Style Guide published in SharePoint.
All content was published to the public. Please note I also published internal content (specifically, internal release notes).
NOTE: If a sample has highlighted content, it is content I created - as the sample contains others' work.
All content (where I performed both copy and technical edits) was only available to customers who paid for courses. The following is an image of the Style Guide I created with another Senior Technical Editor to combine two Style Guides into an online, searchable Style Guide published in SharePoint.
All content was published to the public.

Due to user-only, contract restrictions, most of my prior work is not publicly available. Here are samples that reflect my skills and experience by showcasing rewrites and UI suggestions collected from real-life documentation and apps available to the public.
